The head of the Presidential Leadership Council affirmed that the government continued to seek peace and alleviate the suffering of citizens, but it faced, according to the statement, persistent rejection by the Houthi group of humanitarian initiatives, accusing the group of exploiting the suffering of Yemenis to serve its project and dragging the country into regional conflicts.

Al-Alimi pointed out that the Yemeni crisis was a direct result of the Houthi coup, accusing the group of exploiting the suffering of citizens to serve the agenda of the Iranian regime, in addition to targeting the national economy and vital oil facilities.

The Yemeni president also sent a message to the residents of the governorates under Houthi control, calling on them to rally around the state and republic project, which, according to the statement, guarantees security, stability, and the future of Yemen, expressing his confidence in the ability of Yemenis to restore their state and close the page of the coup.
