The Saudi box office recorded revenues of 26.6 million riyals during the third week from July 12 to 18, 2026, with 53 films screened in cinemas and 527.1 thousand tickets sold, according to statistics from the Film Authority.

"The Odyssey" tops the highest-grossing films

The film "The Odyssey" topped the list of highest-grossing films during the week, earning 9.1 million riyals by selling 145.9 thousand tickets in its first week, followed by the film "Whose Son Are They?" with revenues of 2.9 million riyals through 56.4 thousand tickets, while "Toy Story 5" came third with revenues of 2.5 million riyals from selling 60.1 thousand tickets, then the film "Falcon and Canary" with revenues of 2.3 million riyals.

The rest of the list saw a variety of works shown, with the film "Moana" achieving weekly revenues of 2.0 million riyals, while "Evil Dead Rise" recorded about 1.9 million riyals, and the film "Samson and Delilah" earned revenues of 1.6 million riyals, while "Minions & Monsters" revenues reached about 1.1 million riyals, the film "7 Dogs" recorded 678.5 thousand riyals, and the film "Obsession" came in tenth place with revenues of 617.6 thousand riyals.

This performance reflects the continued public turnout in theaters, driven by the diversity of cinematic content between Arab and international works, along with the seasonal momentum associated with holidays, which enhances the presence of the cinema sector as one of the growing entertainment outlets in the Kingdom, and confirms its ability to achieve stable box office figures on a weekly basis.
