After Delay for Family Reasons.. New Date for Funeral of Late Actor Ahmed Galal Abdelkawi

(CNN)-- The brother of the late Egyptian actor Ahmed Galal Abdelkawi announced the date of his funeral procession to his final resting place, after the afternoon prayer on Monday, at Al-Hosary Mosque in the Sixth of October City, in Giza Governorate.
Ahmed's funeral was scheduled to take place on the day of the announcement of his death, Sunday, but his brother announced a delay due to the 'health conditions' of his father, the well-known Egyptian writer Mohamed Galal Abdelkawi, and 'the arrival of the rest of the relatives from abroad'.
The actor Ahmed Galal Abdelkawi died at the age of 42, and he had previously announced his infection with 'a cancerous tumor in the diaphragm, and underwent a period of treatment and medical follow-up,' according to the Egyptian government website 'Ahram Gate'.
The late actor began his short artistic career at about the age of 13, when he participated in the series 'Hayat Al-Gohary' in 1997, starring the artist Yousra. He later participated in the two famous Egyptian series: 'Hadith Al-Sabah wa Al-Masaa' in 2001, and 'Al-Layl wa Akharoh' in 2003.
He achieved great fame when he played the role of 'Ahmed,' son of 'Abdelhamid Daraz,' whose character was portrayed by the late artist Nour El-Sherif, in the famous series 'Hadrat Al-Muttaham Abi' in 2005.
