Abdel Hamid added in statements to local Egyptian newspapers that the date and procedures for the funeral of the late musician have not yet been determined. The last work by the late great musician Hany Shnouda before his passing was a rearrangement and re-presentation of the song "Bahlam Ma'ak," originally performed by artist Najat and composed by him. Shnouda re-presented it with the voices of rapper Ziad Zaza and new talent Tina, continuing the revival of classic songs that shaped the history of Arabic music and re-releasing them in a way that suits the musical transformations of the era.

Media figure Mahmoud Saad mourned the late musician, writing: "Goodbye, Uncle Hani... A beautiful, honest artist who delighted us. Farewell, Hany Shnouda, and thank you for what you gave. Deepest condolences to the family and all his fans."
