Death of great Egyptian musician Hani Shenouda
The great Egyptian musician Hani Shenouda died on Monday at the age of 83, as announced by journalist Mahmoud Saad.
Saad wrote on his page: "Goodbye, Uncle Hani... a beautiful artist... honest... he entertained us... and passed away. Farewell, Hani Shenouda... and thank you for what you gave... sincere condolences to the family and all his fans."
Music critic Mustafa Helmy also said in his eulogy for the late musician: "Egypt, humanity, culture, and art across the world have lost the great musician Hani Shenouda."

Hani Shenouda was an Egyptian composer and music arranger who discovered many vocal talents in Egypt, and he was a pioneer and credited with forming the first music band in Egypt.
Hani Shenouda was born in Tanta in 1943. He graduated from the College of Music in 1966 and then joined the Higher Institute of Music (Conservatoire).
