Adnan Khalifa, a member of the Astronomy and Space Club, explained that the Summer Triangle is not a constellation but a celestial formation consisting of three of the brightest stars in the sky: Vega in the constellation Lyra, Altair in the constellation Aquila, and Deneb in the constellation Cygnus, noting that these stars appear spaced out to form a large triangle easily distinguishable with the naked eye after darkness falls. He pointed out that the Summer Triangle is one of the most prominent astronomical markers characterizing summer nights, and has been used since ancient times for direction finding and seasonal indications, and also guides observers to identify a number of surrounding constellations and bright stars. He added that the region provides a suitable environment for observing this phenomenon due to the vast open areas and clear skies, where the bright band of the Milky Way can also be seen stretching near the triangle in locations far from lighting, giving observers a distinctive visual experience during summer nights.
