Moana

Also showing is the film 'Moana,' a live-action version of the famous animated film released by Disney in 2016. The story returns to ancient Polynesia, where a dangerous curse related to Maui reaches an island ruled by a reckless chief. His stubborn daughter finds herself facing a mysterious call from the ocean, driving her on an adventure-filled journey. The girl sets out to face the unknown, searching for a way to fix what happened, in a story that blends myth, identity, courage, and self-discovery.

The film is directed by Thomas Kail, with a screenplay by Jared Bush and Dana Ledoux Miller, and starring Dwayne Johnson, Frankie Adams, Catherine Laga'aia, Rena Owen, and John Tui. The work re-presents the world of 'Moana' in a live-action format relying on adventure and visual spectacles, while preserving the original spirit of the story that achieved widespread success in its animated version.
