I had a fiftysomething colleague, in one of the major entities where I worked, with a comedic and humorous sense. He always boasted in front of colleagues that he was (Mr. Boss), and that his word was final, whether with his wife or mother-in-law. Honestly, I admired his tone of voice and strong personality, especially since I had just entered married life. Until one day he asked me: Do you know anyone who wants to buy my car?! There is an unprecedented social obsession with foreign tourism, costing some naive husbands psychological stress and financial commitments. Some lost face for the sake of family, some sold their only car, some sacrificed their housing allowance or their life savings. All this to keep up with the (trend) and satisfy his wife's pride and mother-in-law's dominance. If you asked him, he would mumble: If it were up to me, I'd only be comfortable with domestic tourism, but if only they'd reduce hotel and entertainment facility prices, and leave a person alone!! To gauge the social obsession with foreign tourism, just look at clips of the Saudi community crowded in (northern Turkey), especially the beaches of Trabzon, Uzungol Lakes, and tea farms in Eider and Rize, alongside the Champs-Élysées cafes in Paris, Oxford and Regent streets in London, and the Austrian Imperial palaces in Vienna. You will momentarily doubt whether these are AI-generated clips of Saudi families supposedly strolling in Al-Souda, Al-Shafa, or Raghadan Forest!!
