Rural farms in the Al-Baha region emerge during the summer vacation as one of the tourist options that attract visitors seeking tranquility, comfort, and a unique recreational experience, in the heart of authentic nature and peace in the countryside, with its appealing rural atmosphere. The Director General of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture branch in Al-Baha, Engineer Fahd Muftah Al-Zahrani, explained that the region has recently witnessed a remarkable transformation in the rural sector, affirming that the branch plays a pivotal role in supporting and monitoring these farms, which have turned the countryside in Al-Baha into an attractive tourist destination. He pointed to the launch of a training camp under the patronage of the region's prince, which is the first developmental training program dedicated to operators of rural agricultural tourism activities in the southwestern regions of the Kingdom. Engineer Al-Zahrani said, 'The number of currently licensed rural farms in the Al-Baha region is 30, and we are currently working on licensing 35 additional farms, as part of a plan targeting about 65 licensed farms across the region's governorates to achieve broader coverage for all governorates of Al-Baha.' The farms combine agricultural production and tourism experience at the same time, and also offer a rural and heritage hospitality experience, along with the views of green agricultural terraces that characterize the nature of the Al-Baha region.
