Jeddah Yacht Club and Edition Jeddah Hotel witnessed on Wednesday evening the Grand Arrivals Launch Party, as part of the activities of the world boxing match week 'The Comeback', which continues its events leading up to the Saturday night at Jeddah Super Dome, with the participation of an elite group of the most prominent global, Saudi, and Arab boxers.

The event welcomed the stars of the bout card and a number of invited figures and media representatives, in a festive atmosphere accompanied by the boxers' appearances to the beat of their own music, before stepping into the ring.

Former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua of Britain and Albanian boxer Christian Bringe led the attendance, with rising anticipation for their main fight, a bout between two of the most prominent offensive powerhouses; Joshua has 29 professional wins, 26 by knockout, while Bringe has 20 wins, all by knockout.

Joshua and Bringe had met face-to-face on Tuesday on a yacht at Jeddah Yacht Club, in their first appearance during the fight week, where the meeting marked the start of the media atmosphere accompanying the event, before their appearance today alongside other participants in the Grand Arrivals Launch Party.

The 'The Comeback' evening includes 13 bouts, including two world title fights, in addition to three matches with Saudi participation; Mohammed Al-Aqel faces Maltese boxer Laydon Cherkup, Ziad Al-Maayouf meets Mexican Frank Mango, and Sultan Al-Mohammed takes on Spanish Efren Balsadouch.

The evening also sees British Hamza Sheraz defend his WBO super middleweight title against German Simon Zachenhuber, while British Josh Kelly puts his IBF light middleweight title on the line against Irish Kavehmeen Aghiyarko. The card also includes a number of international bouts and Arab participations, led by the Egyptian presence through Omar Heikal, who faces Spanish Brian Castellano, and Mohamed Mabrouk, who meets Colombian Brian Zapata, extending their prominent participation in the 'Glory in Giza' event last May.

The event comes as part of an integrated program for the fight week, which is one of the most prominent events of 'Jeddah Calendar' in cooperation with 'Riyadh Season', and in partnership with 'Matchroom', 'Sela', 'Gold Star', and 'Queensbury'.

The week's activities continue on Thursday with the official press conference for all boxers at Jeddah Promenade at 9 PM, where participants meet with media and talk about their preparations, before the anticipated direct confrontations between them, with the conference to be broadcast via DAZN platform.
