(CNN)-- The promotional trailer for the upcoming social-comedy film "The Woman When - Veto", starring Egyptian star Yousra, has been released, ahead of its screening in Egyptian and Arab cinemas next August..

In the film, Yousra plays the role of "Dunya al-Kurdi", a media activist who "leads a campaign titled (A woman's right to object) - (Veto) to combat violence against women."

Dunya's campaign intersects with "a series of impactful women's stories, and faces mixed reactions from some men and society, creating comedic situations mixed with social conflict, highlighting women's rights issues and challenging traditional concepts," according to the film's official synopsis.

The film "The Woman When" is based on a story by Mustafa Badawi, co-written by Kiro Amin Fawzi, and stars: Yousra, Dorra, Yasmine Raies, Dina Sami, Entesar, Majed al-Masri, Amr Abdelgalil, Mohamed Gomaa, Rania Mansour, and many other actors, directed by Khaled Abu Ghareb.
