Data from the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) revealed that it received approximately 7,000 reports of adverse drug reactions from hospitals and health centers during June, as part of its efforts to monitor the safety of pharmaceutical products and enhance drug safety.

The list showed that the Armed Forces Hospital in the South in Khamis Mushait topped with 4,836 reports, the highest among reporting health entities, followed by Prince Sultan Military Medical City in Riyadh with 601 reports, then Taif Health Cluster with 323 reports, King Abdulaziz Specialist Hospital in Sakaka with 310 reports, while the First Riyadh Health Cluster came fifth with 157 reports.

In fifth place came the First Riyadh Health Cluster after submitting 157 reports of adverse drug reactions, according to data from the SFDA. The list also included a number of other health facilities.

These reports are part of the pharmacovigilance system, which aims to monitor and track potential adverse effects of medications, thereby contributing to raising the level of drug safety and protecting patients from risks associated with the use of therapeutic products.
