أمل زائف بالشفاء التام روّجه مقطع فيديو عبر منصات التواصل الاجتماعي، قاد طبيباً مصرياً إلى التحقيق العاجل أمام لجنة آداب المهنة بالنقابة العامة للأطباء، بعد ادعائه إمكانية التخلص النهائي من مرض السكري المزمن عبر زراعة الخلايا الجذعية في البنكرياس بواسطة المنظار.

وتعود تفاصيل الواقعة إلى فيديو تداوله رواد مواقع التواصل، يزعم فيه الطبيب نجاح مركزه الطبي بمحافظة القليوبية في إجراء هذه العملية لطفلة مصابة بالسكري، مؤكداً استغناءها التام عن حقن الإنسولين. هذا الادعاء دفع النقابة للتدخل السريع حمايةً للمرضى من الانسياق وراء علاجات غير معتمدة علمياً.

وفي هذا السياق، حذر عضو مجلس نقابة الأطباء الدكتور أحمد بحلس،، من خطورة استخدام الخلايا الجذعية في العلاج قبل اكتمال الأبحاث الطبية، مشيراً إلى أن هذه التقنية لا تزال في طور التجارب عالمياً ولم تعتمدها أي جهة صحية دولية أو محلية. وأوضح بحلس أن هذه الممارسات قد تشكل خطراً جسيماً على الحياة؛ نظراً للتحديات المعقدة التي تواجهها، ومن أبرزها احتمالية تحول هذه الخلايا إلى أورام سرطانية، أو مهاجمة الجهاز المناعي لها، فضلاً عن المخاطر المرتبطة باستخدام مثبطات المناعة.

وشددت النقابة على تعاملها الحازم مع مثل هذه الادعاءات، مؤكدة أن اعتماد أي بروتوكول علاجي يتطلب مراحل علمية ودراسات سريرية دقيقة قبل إتاحته للمرضى، منوهةً بأن المراكز البحثية العالمية لم تتوصل حتى الآن إلى علاج نهائي للسكري من هذا النوع.

A false hope for complete recovery was promoted by a video circulating on social media platforms, leading an Egyptian doctor to an urgent investigation before the Professional Conduct Committee of the General Medical Syndicate, after claiming the possibility of permanently eliminating chronic diabetes through stem cell transplantation in the pancreas via endoscopy.

The details of the incident date back to a video shared by social media users, in which the doctor claims that his medical center in Qalyubia Governorate successfully performed this procedure on a child with diabetes, asserting that she completely discontinued insulin injections. This claim prompted the syndicate to intervene swiftly to protect patients from falling for unscientific treatments.

In this context, Dr. Ahmed Bahles, a member of the Medical Syndicate Council, warned about the dangers of using stem cells for treatment before completing medical research, pointing out that this technique is still in the experimental phase globally and has not been approved by any international or local health authority. Bahles explained that these practices could pose a serious risk to life due to the complex challenges they face, the most notable of which is the possibility of these cells turning into cancerous tumors or being attacked by the immune system, in addition to the risks associated with the use of immunosuppressants.

The syndicate emphasized its firm stance on such claims, confirming that the approval of any therapeutic protocol requires scientific stages and precise clinical studies before making it available to patients, noting that global research centers have not yet reached a definitive treatment for this type of diabetes.
