The medical services of the Ministry of Interior achieved a new medical milestone by performing the first kidney transplant at the Security Forces Hospital in Riyadh, as part of the organ transplant program launched by the hospital, in a step that reflects the development of specialized care services and the enhancement of its capabilities in providing precise and advanced treatments according to the highest medical standards.

The surgery was successfully performed on a 32-year-old beneficiary suffering from kidney failure, with his 35-year-old sister donating one of her kidneys after completing thorough medical examinations and ensuring compatibility with the necessary medical requirements for donation. The procedure was carried out by a multidisciplinary medical and surgical team and, praise be to God, was successful. Both the donor and the beneficiary are in stable health condition and receiving the necessary medical care.
