Medical Team at Khaybar Hospital Removes Ovarian Dermoid Cyst via Laparoscopy
A specialized medical team at Khaybar Hospital, part of the Madinah Health Cluster, successfully performed a laparoscopic surgery to remove an ovarian dermoid cyst for a patient in her thirties who was suffering from chronic pelvic pain.
The Madinah Health Cluster explained that necessary medical examinations revealed a mature dermoid cyst (Left Ovarian Mature Cystic Teratoma) on the left ovary, measuring 6x7 cm.
The cluster noted that the medical team decided to perform the surgery using laparoscopic technique to remove the cyst while preserving the ovary. The operation was successful, and the patient left the hospital within 24 hours after receiving the necessary medical care, and she is in good health.
Laparoscopic ovarian cyst removal is a precise surgical procedure that helps reduce pain and speed up recovery compared to open surgery, reflecting the level of medical competence of the health staff at Khaybar Hospital and their commitment to providing advanced healthcare to patients.
