Equation: Saudi Ambulance Authority: An Idea for the Future. The maturity of the "health system" in developed countries is closely linked to the clarity of specialized vision and the uniqueness of each entity in its strategic role. Amid the major transformations the Kingdom is undergoing within Vision 2030, a proposal emerges from me to establish a "Saudi Ambulance Authority" as a smart strategic option aimed at shaping the future of ambulance services from a purely specialized perspective. This approach is based on a philosophy of integration, not conflict. While the "Saudi Red Crescent" represents a global national symbol, carrying a rich humanitarian legacy and sovereign tasks related to international relief work and major disaster response, there is a national need for a domestic field ambulance system dedicated to managing critical moments inside cities, holy sites, and major thoroughfares, with a precise operational perspective that keeps pace with the speed of modern life.

This approach – toward independence – gives each entity more room for creativity and excellence. The proposed authority, through its operational and service-oriented nature, will be the ideal incubator for integrating the private sector as an active partner in the system. The private sector has high field flexibility and an outstanding ability for intensive deployment, which enhances response efficiency and ensures service delivery with the highest quality and technical standards, while also alleviating the financial burden on the state. This regulatory independence does not mean separation, but rather "functional specialization." The new authority will set unified operational standards, manage smart ambulance fleets, and employ telemedicine and artificial intelligence technologies to reduce response time to its minimum. Meanwhile, the Red Crescent remains a high-level humanitarian entity representing the Kingdom in international forums and extending assistance in comprehensive relief areas.

Establishing a specialized authority means we move to the stage of "operational professionalism" that manages ambulance services as an integrated national service. The authority will be the main driver of innovations in field medicine and the entity that ensures the unification of national ambulance protocols between the public and private sectors. This specialization gives every person on the Kingdom's soil a promise that ambulance services have today become a system managed according to the highest global standards, where every paramedic, every ambulance, and every call center has a unified vision and a single goal: "the golden minute."

With this proposal, we are outlining features of a future in which ambulance services in the Kingdom become a model to be emulated in crowd management, rapid response to emergency cases, and integration of national forces. Human life will always remain the priority above which no ambition rises, and the goal for which all modern technologies and national efforts are harnessed.
