The Virtual Autism Clinic, affiliated with the Autism Families Association, received global recognition during the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS 2026) in Geneva, Switzerland, after being selected among initiatives eligible for global voting in the e-Health track. This achievement reflects the Kingdom's progress in employing digital solutions to develop health services and enhance quality of life.

The recognition crowns the clinic's advancements in providing specialized digital health care services for individuals with autism spectrum disorder and their families through an integrated system that offers remote therapeutic and consultative services. This helps improve access to specialized health services and their efficiency, highlighting the effectiveness of national initiatives in developing digital models with societal impact.

1000 Therapeutic and Consultative Sessions

Since its launch, the clinic has served over 200 families and conducted more than 1,000 therapeutic and consultative sessions, including beneficiaries from various regions of the Kingdom, as well as several beneficiaries from Gulf Cooperation Council countries. This has enabled families to obtain specialized services without the need to travel or relocate.

The clinic completed its regulatory requirements by obtaining a license from the Ministry of Health, accreditation from the Council of Health Insurance, and integration with the 'Nafis' platform, in addition to being registered with the Saudi Center for Health Facility Accreditation (CBAHI). This reinforces its commitment to national standards for quality and safety of digital health services and confirms the readiness of national health initiatives to compete internationally.

His Highness Prince Saud bin Abdulaziz bin Farhan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Autism Families Association, stated that this recognition represents an important milestone in the project's journey and reflects the quality of the model the clinic has presented in a short period. He emphasized that reaching a global platform like the World Summit on the Information Society in less than a year since its launch demonstrates the ability of national competencies and Saudi initiatives to compete internationally when they stem from a genuine need and achieve tangible impact for beneficiaries.
