225,000 m² and 3 Completed Initiatives: National Greening Program Announces Completion of Donation Opportunities via 'Ehsan'

The National Greening Program announced the completion of three donation opportunities via the Ehsan charitable platform to support tree planting projects and the creation of sustainable reserves in Rijal Almaa, Qaryat al-Ulya, and Majmaah, on an area exceeding 225,700 m², enhancing vegetation development and combating desertification, and supporting the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
The National Greening Program announced the completion of three approved donation opportunities via the national platform for charitable work 'Ehsan', allocated to support tree planting projects and the creation of sustainable reserves in the governorates of Rijal Almaa, Qaryat al-Ulya, and Majmaah, on a total area exceeding 225,700 square meters.
The program explained that the completion of these opportunities reflects the community's awareness of the importance of vegetation development and combating desertification, and embodies the spirit of participation in supporting environmental sustainability initiatives, thereby contributing to achieving the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and enhancing the environmental and social impact of these projects.
The completed opportunities included the establishment of a sustainable reserve in Qaryat al-Ulya Governorate in the Eastern Province, by planting 2,000 trees over an area of 220,000 square meters, through more than 15,000 donation transactions, in partnership with the Al-Saman Green Environmental Association.
Also completed was the donation opportunity in Rijal Almaa Governorate in partnership with the Sanabel Agricultural Association, aimed at combating desertification and rehabilitating valleys over an area of 2,500 square meters. In Majmaah Governorate, the donation opportunity was completed in partnership with the Al-Barari Association through more than 27,000 donation transactions, to support environmental protection, combat desertification, and increase vegetation cover over an area of 3,200 square meters.
It is noteworthy that the National Center for Vegetation Development and Combating Desertification signed a cooperation agreement with the 'Ehsan' platform to enhance charitable and humanitarian work, contribute to achieving a sustainable environmental and financial impact, and provide qualitative opportunities for community participation in initiatives for environmental protection and vegetation development.
