The National Afforestation Program announced the completion of three approved donation opportunities via the national charity platform "Ehsan," dedicated to supporting tree planting projects and establishing sustainable reserves in Rjal Almaa, Qaryat al-Ulya, and Majmaah, covering an area exceeding 225,700 square meters.

The program explained that the completion of donation opportunities reflects the community's awareness of the importance of developing vegetation cover and combating desertification, and the spirit of participation in supporting environmental sustainability initiatives, contributing to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and maximizing the environmental and social impact of these projects.

The implemented opportunities included the establishment of sustainable reserves in Qaryat al-Ulya Governorate in the Eastern Province, by planting 2,000 trees over an area of 220,000 square meters, through more than 15,000 donation transactions, in partnership with the Al-Saman Green Environmental Society. The donation opportunity in Rjal Almaa Governorate was completed in partnership with the Sanabil Agricultural Society, contributing to combating desertification and rehabilitating valleys over an area of 2,500 square meters. Meanwhile, the donation opportunity in Majmaah Governorate was completed in partnership with the Al-Barari Society, through more than 27,000 donation transactions, to support environmental protection, combat desertification, and increase vegetation cover over an area of 3,200 square meters.

It is noteworthy that the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification signed a cooperation agreement with the "Ehsan" platform to enhance charitable and humanitarian work, contribute to achieving a sustainable environmental and financial impact, and provide quality opportunities for community participation in environmental protection and vegetation cover development initiatives.
