The Eastern Province Municipality, represented by the Al-Na'iriyah Governorate Municipality, carried out 6,864 inspection and monitoring visits to food and commercial establishments in the governorate during the first half of this year, resulting in the issuance of 1,126 warnings and 961 violations, the application of legal procedures against violators, and the handling of 27 reports.

Faisal Al-Zahrani, Director General of the General Administration of Media and official spokesman for the Eastern Province Municipality, explained that the monitoring tours are part of the municipality's ongoing efforts to enhance field supervision and raise compliance levels with health and municipal requirements, and to ensure that establishments adhere to standards of general cleanliness and the safety of handling and storing food, thereby protecting consumer health.

He pointed out that the most notable violations observed included low levels of general cleanliness, violations related to thermal preservation of food, in addition to storing food materials in unsuitable places and environments that could lead to contamination or spoilage. He affirmed the continued intensification of monitoring tours and the application of legal procedures against non-compliant establishments.

Al-Zahrani called on citizens and residents to cooperate with the municipality and report any observations or violations through the Reports and Emergency Center '940', which contributes to their prompt handling, enhancing public health, and improving the quality of municipal services.
