Abdulaziz bin Salman Sponsors Graduation Ceremony for Industrial Sector Scholarship Recipients under the 'Waed' Track

Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy and Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, the ministry today celebrated the graduation of scholarship recipients from the industrial sector under the 'Waed' track, part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program. This aligns with the ministry’s ongoing efforts to empower national talents and enhance the alignment of scholarship outputs with the needs of the industry and mining sectors. The ceremony was attended by His Excellency Minister of Education, Mr. Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan.

The ceremony honored 69 male and female graduates who completed the employment-initiated scholarship programs, and also honored the companies 'Seer' and 'Morafiq' for their partnership with the Ministries of Industry and Mineral Resources and Education in implementing these specialized programs. These programs aim to qualify national talents in promising industrial and technical specializations and enable them to make an impact on the future of industry and mining.

During the ceremony, the ministry signed eight new agreements with several national companies to provide 221 job opportunities through the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program (Waed Track). This contributes to attracting and qualifying national talents and enhancing private sector participation in human capacity development, thereby improving the efficiency of the industry and mining sectors.

The companies involved in these agreements include Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Ma'aden), Schneider Electric, Saudi Snack Foods Company (PepsiCo), Packaging Products Company, in addition to Cummins Arabia Limited, Al-Taqaddum Medical Company, Mana Water Company, and Qiyas Manufacturing Company.

The 'Waed' track is one of the specialized tracks that enhance the alignment of educational outcomes with labor market needs. It is an extension of the strategic partnership between the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Education, and the private sector to prepare

qualified national cadres possessing the necessary skills and knowledge to keep pace with industrial transformations and achieve the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.

The ministry's celebration of the graduates of the 'Waed' track underscores its commitment to investing in human capacity development and strengthening partnership with the private sector, contributing to the preparation of young national talents who will lead the future of the industry and mining sectors.
