Al-Ahsa Governor Receives CEO of Dammam Airports, Reviews 2025 Annual Report
His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr, Governor of Al-Ahsa, received at his office today the CEO of Dammam Airports Company, Eng. Mohammed bin Ali Al-Hassani, who handed His Highness the company's annual report for 2025, highlighting key performance indicators and achievements of Dammam Airports, including the growth in air traffic at Al-Ahsa International Airport and improvements in performance indicators and service quality.
During the meeting, His Highness reviewed the key achievements of Al-Ahsa International Airport in 2025, which saw a 5.4% growth in passenger numbers, exceeding 176,000 passengers, alongside a 7.3% increase in air traffic compared to 2024, reflecting the growing air traffic and enhanced air connectivity for the governorate.
The airport achieved several qualitative achievements in service quality, sustainability, and operational excellence, most notably obtaining Level 1 accreditation for airport carbon emissions management from the Airports Council International.
In terms of institutional performance, the airport scored 94% in the comprehensive airport service quality assessment program issued by the General Authority of Civil Aviation, within the category of airports serving less than two million passengers annually, achieving an improvement of over 17% compared to 2024, and ranked first in the airport facilities and services quality assessment program for the same category in 2025.
His Highness the Governor of Al-Ahsa praised the great support provided by the wise leadership—may God preserve them—to the aviation and airports sector, affirming that this support contributed to infrastructure development and improved service efficiency, which was reflected in the performance of Dammam Airports, including Al-Ahsa International Airport. He commended the efforts of Dammam Airports Company in developing Al-Ahsa International Airport, enhancing service quality, expanding the flight network, and improving the passenger experience. He stressed the importance of continuing work in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, to strengthen Al-Ahsa's position as a promising economic, tourism, and logistics destination.
Eng. Al-Hassani expressed his thanks to His Highness the Governor of Al-Ahsa for his continuous support and interest in developing the air transport system in the governorate, affirming that the company will continue to develop its services and enhance operational efficiency to improve the passenger experience and provide quality services in line with best international practices.
