The youth categories in our nation represent a high percentage of society, thus the precious opportunity that must be seized is to empower and qualify them as partners in the Kingdom's vision and goals, and the best aid in shaping the future, and this means that the vision did not overlook this matter; because they are the tool for national transformation towards a diverse and vibrant economy.
I cite what Mr. Abdullah Al-Rukhaiss mentioned in his proposal to establish a public authority for youth, as he described them as the largest and most precious of national assets in the journey of transformation, and he added: Instead of viewing youth as a demographic challenge that needs management, the vision now looks at them as a historic opportunity to be invested, and instead of limiting to providing traditional services, public policies have moved towards building an integrated system aimed at developing capabilities, expanding opportunities, enhancing participation, and enabling youth to actively contribute to economic, social and cultural development. Hence, it can be said: The vision did not only make youth one of its topics, but made them one of the most important pillars and objectives of its major strategic axes. The vision grasped this fact early, and proceeded accordingly, realizing that natural resources alone are not sufficient unless the energies of its sons and daughters are part of the national transformation project, whose fruits we witness today - thanks to God.
It is the generation that will lead the digital economy, artificial intelligence, renewable energy, and entrepreneurship. Our country has expanded in sports, entertainment, and cultural opportunities, and has expanded in festivals and scientific conferences, and cities have become competing to provide attractive environments, and the challenge facing youth lies in providing quality job opportunities and aligning educational outputs with the labor market. Recent years have seen a shift away from the old employment style that rewards certificates, and there are now employment contracts that reward skills and innovation, with increasing attention to future skills, even volunteering work that prepares and establishes social responsibility; has had a generous share because it enhances national belonging.. We will shed light on this aspect later.
