Saudi Arabia’s support for all positive steps taken by Syria, which achieve its security, stability and prosperity, and its welcome of the US announcement to begin procedures to remove Syria’s designation as a state sponsor of terrorism; reaffirms its keenness that Syria enjoys security, development and prosperity in all aspects of life, and ensures the well-being of the Syrian people who stand behind their leadership to build a new Syria.

Saudi Arabia seeks to support Syria in overcoming difficult circumstances and recovering from all the pains it suffers, leading to a state that is strong security-wise, economically and militarily, making it a regional and international player, an effective influencer, and a key participant in resolving all complex files that threaten the region’s security. This is what the Syrian leadership believes, moving confidently in coordination with its brothers, friends, and all international bodies and organizations.

Since the fall of the ousted regime, Saudi Arabia has stood by Syria, represented by its President Ahmed al-Shara and his creative team, to rebuild and repair the damage left by the wars that the Assad regime fomented. This is evident in turning Syrian cities into economic workshops to establish projects that suit the needs of friendly Syria and its brotherly people who look forward to a safe and stable homeland.
