Kingdom Welcomes US Announcement of Beginning Procedures to Revoke Law Classifying Syria as State Sponsor of Terrorism

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the welcome of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the announcement of the United States of America about the start of procedures to revoke the law classifying the Syrian Arab Republic as a state sponsor of terrorism, which was enacted in 1979.

The Kingdom reiterates its support for all positive steps taken by the Syrian government to achieve its security and stability, contribute to building state institutions, and meet the aspirations of the brotherly Syrian people towards a more stable and prosperous Syria.
