Mawhiba Summer Program Launches in Riyadh with 200 Students
The Mawhiba Summer Enrichment Program 2026, offered by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), launched this morning at Manarat Al-Riyadh Schools, with the participation of 200 gifted students and will run for three weeks. Program director Ibrahim Al-Shamrani said that its implementation comes within the framework of Saudi Vision 2030, by providing qualitative units covering multiple vital fields, as the program includes 10 scientific units in the fields of robotics, programming, physics, engineering, medicine, cybersecurity, and data science.
Al-Shamrani explained that this year saw the introduction of new units, including: Principles of Robotics, Cyber Threats, and Physics in Water and Air, noting that the program is not limited to the scientific aspect, but integrates life skills development programs through four specialized skills packages, including: Enhancing Digital Security, Positive Values and Personal Traits, Exploring Future Vision, and Enhancing Resilience, in addition to cultural and recreational activities and scientific trips that enrich the experience of gifted students. Al-Shamrani pointed out that the program aims to develop students' abilities, enrich their knowledge, raise their efficiency, build their scientific and practical experiences according to global methodologies, and invest summer vacation time to enhance learning outcomes and raise their competitiveness in international competitions, by encouraging scientific research and innovation and developing basic and future skills. The program is held for gifted students who have passed the Mawhiba scale, and they receive training from specialists, with research units in various fields, and its sessions extend daily from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mawhiba Foundation is keen to provide various enrichment programs for promising students, through which they acquire advanced scientific knowledge and experiences that challenge their abilities, develop their skills, and support their development and refinement.
