Al Jazeera - SPA:
As part of its ongoing efforts to develop vegetation cover and promote sustainable investment across all regions of the Kingdom, the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification has announced 31 investment opportunities in several national parks in the Riyadh region. This initiative aims to strengthen partnership with the private sector, support nature tourism, and contribute to achieving the sustainable development goals and the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
The center explained that these investment opportunities are intended to enable the private sector and expand its involvement in implementing development projects with sustainable environmental and economic impact, with the goal of developing, protecting, and sustaining vegetation cover sites, enhancing the efficient investment of natural resources, balancing economic development with conservation of natural resources, and promoting environmental sustainability and quality of life. It also aims to create added value for local communities and support the national economy.
The investment opportunities offered in the Riyadh region include a variety of activities, most notably camping, caravans, eco-tourism, and agricultural and sports activities, contributing to the development of national parks and cementing their status as attractive natural destinations for visitors from within and outside the Kingdom.
It is worth noting that the center is offering long-term investment opportunities alongside seasonal ones to develop vegetation cover, support various afforestation projects and initiatives, conserve natural resources, contribute to the development of the national economy, and create new job opportunities for citizens, in line with the targets of the Saudi Green Initiative and Vision 2030.
