Prince of Najran Praises Role of Agricultural Development Fund in Supporting the Sector in the Region
His Highness Prince Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaid, Governor of Najran Region, praised the role played by the Agricultural Development Fund in supporting and developing the agricultural sector in the region, stressing the importance of developmental programs and initiatives that enhance food security and support sustainable agricultural development, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
This came during His Highness's reception, in his office at the Emirate Diwan, of the Director General of the Agricultural Development Fund branch in Najran Region, Salem bin Ali Al-Saqour, who presented to His Highness the Fund's 62nd annual report for the fiscal year 1446-1447 AH (2025), including the Fund's achievements and business indicators at the Kingdom and regional levels.
20,562,268 Riyals in Approved Loans in Najran During 2025
The report stated that the total approved loans from the Fund in Najran Region during 2025 amounted to 20,562,268 Riyals, including short-term loans and medium-term development loans, to support agricultural and productive activities.
Various Development Programs to Support Farmers
Salem Al-Saqour indicated that the rural development programs funded by the Fund in the region include developing the small livestock breeders sector, developing beekeeping and honey production, in addition to developing, producing, processing, and marketing Arabica coffee and fruits, as well as supporting the cultivation of field crops and vegetables.
For his part, the Director General of the Fund's branch expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Governor of Najran Region for his continuous attention and support for the Fund's activities and his ongoing follow-up on everything that contributes to the development of the agricultural sector and empowering farmers in the region.
