London, Muharram 26, 1448 AH, corresponding to July 11, 2026 (SPA) — His Excellency Eng. Fawaz bin Zanaf Al-Sahli, Chairman of the Transport General Authority, led the Kingdom's delegation participating in the 137th session of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Council meetings, held in the British capital London, as part of the Kingdom's efforts to strengthen its presence in international maritime forums and support the development of the maritime transport sector. The meetings discussed several strategic issues and topics related to raising the efficiency of the maritime sector, enhancing maritime safety and security, and supporting international cooperation in this field. On the sidelines of the meetings, His Excellency the Chairman of the Transport General Authority held a number of bilateral meetings with officials from countries and international organizations, during which ways to enhance cooperation and exchange expertise were discussed, and the Kingdom's most prominent achievements in developing the maritime sector were reviewed, in line with the targets of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030.
