The Arfaj plant receives great attention from the Reserve Development Authority as part of its ongoing efforts to protect and develop vegetation cover. The plant belongs to the Asteraceae family, and it is a shrub widely spread in the shallow sandy environments of the Al-Khunfah and At-Tubaiq areas. This shrub is characterized by unique morphological features, as it reaches a height of (70) centimeters, with woody stems that are intricately branched, basal lanceolate leaves, in addition to small, spaced upper leaves, and its flowering appearance that adds exceptional beauty to the reserve's nature.
