Doha, July 02 (QNA) - The Public Works Authority "Ashghal" affirmed that national cadres continue to play a pivotal role in implementing the country's development projects, as part of its efforts to attract, qualify, and empower Qatari competencies to work in various specializations, enhancing their contribution to infrastructure and public building projects according to the highest standards.

Ashghal explained in a statement today that Qataris constitute 60 percent of the authority's total employees, reflecting its commitment to investing in national human capital and supporting national development goals.

On the engineering side, the authority indicated that the engineering staff includes 1,305 engineers, of whom 741 are Qatari engineers (male and female), representing 57 percent of the total engineering staff.

Qatari male engineers make up 55 percent of the national engineering competencies in the authority, compared to 45 percent for Qatari female engineers, which reflects Ashghal's success in empowering national competencies of both genders and providing them with opportunities to actively participate in implementing strategic projects, contributing to the development of sustainable infrastructure that supports Qatar National Vision 2030.
