"Hospitality Ambassadors": Saudi Program Trains National Talent at World's Top Hotels
The Ministry of Tourism signed memorandums of understanding with a number of world-leading hotel establishments to launch the "Hospitality Ambassadors" program, which aims to develop national cadres in the hospitality sector through on-the-job training in international hotels outside the Kingdom, thereby contributing to improving the quality of tourism services provided locally.
The program is based on a field training model in partnership with major global hotel establishments, aiming to empower national cadres to acquire the professional, leadership, and operational skills needed to lead the future of the tourism sector. It stems from the ministry's strategic objectives to build a sustainable and internationally competitive tourism system.
The program carries a national dimension inspired by the Kingdom's renowned hospitality and warm welcome. The ministry seeks to turn these authentic values into a professional advantage in the hospitality sector, allowing national cadres to combine the authenticity of Saudi hospitality with best global practices, and enhancing the presence of Saudi hospitality in a manner befitting the Kingdom's status as a global tourist destination.
The "Hospitality Ambassadors" program is an extension of a series of specialized programs offered by the Ministry of Tourism to empower national cadres, including the Executive Master's program, in addition to its ongoing training and development efforts. The ministry has provided more than 700,000 training opportunities for workers in the sector since 2020, supporting the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 in developing human capabilities and improving the quality of tourism services.
