His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz bin Qablan Al-Sarani, Director of Taibah University and former member of the Shura Council, affirmed that the Kingdom's Vision 2030 represents an integrated national and civilizational project that reshaped the development paths in the Kingdom, established a more diversified economy, a more vibrant society, and a more ambitious nation, enhancing the Kingdom's standing among advanced countries. This came during the cultural evening organized by "Ewan Al-Mawadda" in partnership with Makkah Electronic Newspaper titled "A Window on Vision 2030,” moderated by the literary figure Mr. Ali bin Khidhr Al-Thubaiti, attended by an elite group of academics, intellectuals, and development stakeholders. Al-Sarani explained that the vision, with the support of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and the leadership of His Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman, has moved the Kingdom to a new phase of results-based strategic planning, strengthened its regional and international presence, and made shaping the future a practical choice rather than just an aspiration. He pointed out that the three pillars of the vision: a vibrant society, a thriving economy, and an ambitious nation, represent an integrated system that places the human being at the center of development and its goal, through investment in education, capacity development, enhancing innovation, entrepreneurship, and improving quality of life. He noted that the vision was built on an institutional framework starting with major national goals, then descending to executive programs, ministries, universities, and bodies, down to precise performance indicators that measure achievement and link initiatives to results, thereby enhancing spending efficiency and raising the level of accountability and governance. He reviewed the most prominent programs of the vision, foremost among them: the Guests of the Merciful program, Human Capacity Development, National Transformation, Financial Sector Development, Housing, Quality of Life, Development of National Industry and Logistics Services, the Public Investment Fund, Health Transformation, and Fiscal Sustainability. He stressed that the Guests of the Merciful program brought about a qualitative shift in the experience of pilgrims, Umrah performers, and visitors by developing transportation and housing services, facilitating visa procedures, improving arrival and departure experiences, qualifying personnel, and caring for Islamic and historical sites, reflecting the honor the Kingdom takes in serving the Two Holy Mosques. He also explained that the Public Investment Fund has become one of the main drivers of the national economy through financing major projects, establishing national companies, and supporting sectors such as technology, energy, tourism, industry, transportation, and services, as well as enhancing local content and creating quality job opportunities. He pointed out that the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program contributed to diversifying the industrial base, localizing technology, strengthening national industries, improving supply chain efficiency, and increasing the percentage of local content, thereby boosting the competitiveness of the Saudi economy. Dr. Al-Sarani discussed achievements in digital transformation, renewable energy, electric vehicle manufacturing, development of ports, airports, and railways, improvement of health and water services, in addition to mega projects such as NEOM, Qiddiya, the Red Sea, and Diriyah, which have become practical models for translating the vision's targets into real achievements. He stressed that Saudi youth are the main pillar for achieving the vision's goals, praising their efficiency in fields of technology, innovation, entrepreneurship, industry, and advanced services, reflecting the ability of the nation's sons to lead the development transformation. He also reviewed the role of the National Center for Competitiveness in developing the legislative and investment environment, measuring sector performance, and comparing the Kingdom's indicators with global ones, affirming that competitiveness has become a key tool for improving performance, addressing challenges, and enhancing the Kingdom's global standing. Al-Sarani concluded his speech by emphasizing that what has been achieved so far is not the end of the road, but rather the beginning of a more prosperous phase, led by an ambitious leadership, implemented by a society confident in its homeland, and shaped by young people with knowledge, competence, and determination. For his part, Ewan Al-Mawadda appreciated the presence of His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Sarani and his intellectual enrichment, stressing that the evening embodied the value of national dialogue and contributed to deepening awareness of the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and its development programs. At the conclusion of the evening, Dr. Ayedh Mohammed Al-Zahrani, on behalf of the members of Ewan Al-Mawadda, honored Dr. Abdulaziz bin Qablan Al-Sarani, as well as honored the evening's moderator Mr. Ali bin Khidhr Al-Thubaiti, with the participation of His Excellency Dr. Bakri bin Maatouq Assas, Dr. Yusuf bin Abduh Asiri, Abdulkhalek bin Mohammed Al-Zahrani, Dr. Fawaz Al-Dahas, and Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Zahrani, in appreciation of their contributions to the success of this national cultural evening.
