Citizen Caught Fishing Without Permit and Using Prohibited Tools in Jeddah
Coastal patrols affiliated with the Border Guard in Jeddah Governorate, Makkah Region, apprehended a citizen who violated the safety and security regulations for marine activity practitioners in the maritime areas of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Border Guard stated that the violation involved fishing without a permit and using prohibited tools, noting that legal procedures were taken against him in coordination with the relevant authorities.
The concerned authorities added their call for everyone to adhere to the regulations and instructions related to the protection of living aquatic resources, and to report any cases of aggression against the environment or wildlife via number (911) in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and (994) in the rest of the Kingdom's regions.
In the same context, the competent authorities confirmed that all reports will be handled with complete confidentiality without any liability on the reporter.
