The General Directorate of Civil Defense announced on Wednesday that the danger has passed for the city of Dammam, calling on citizens and residents to adhere to official instructions, follow safety guidelines, and avoid gathering and photography entirely.

The Directorate had earlier issued an early warning via the National Platform for Early Warning in Emergency Cases to alert about a danger in Dammam, emphasizing the need to follow several instructions, including staying calm and following official instructions.

It stressed the necessity of immediately moving to the nearest safe place inside a building or an interior room away from windows and staying there until the danger has passed, and not leaving the home or building until the danger has passed.

It also stressed the need to stay away from open areas and glass, and not to stand on balconies or rooftops, calling on those outdoors to enter the nearest building or take cover behind a solid barrier, avoid gathering and photography entirely, and stay away from dangerous locations.

It added that if the warning message is received while in a vehicle, one should stop on the side of the road away from bridges and high-rise buildings, and contact the emergency number 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and 998 in the rest of the Kingdom's regions when noticing danger.
