Civil Defense Warns Families: 6 Home Hazards Threaten Children... Calls for Preventive Measures
The Civil Defense emphasized the importance of maintaining children's safety from sources of danger inside homes, calling on parents to take effective preventive measures to reduce domestic accidents that children might face.
The Civil Defense explained that the most prominent preventive measures to be taken include: keeping sharp tools out of children's reach, keeping electrical appliances away from them, covering electrical sockets with protective covers, as well as securing the stove and keeping the gas cylinder away from their areas.
It also stressed the need to periodically check the safety of electrical wires, and not to leave sources of fire within children's reach, affirming that children's safety is a shared responsibility that falls primarily on the family.
