The General Directorate of Civil Defense outlined on Wednesday the safe use of gas in homes and facilities, emphasizing the importance of following safety measures to mitigate leakage risks that endanger lives and property.

The directorate pointed out the necessity of choosing a safe location for the gas cylinder, ensuring the safety of connections, closing the gas source when leaving the kitchen, in addition to conducting periodic checks on ovens and stoves, and installing gas leak detectors.

Safety instructions and emergency contact

The directorate also highlighted the importance of following instructions and guidelines announced through media and social media platforms to prevent accidents related to gas leaks.

In the same context, the General Directorate of Civil Defense called for contacting number 911 in the regions of Mecca, Medina, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 998 in the rest of the Kingdom's regions in case of any emergency.
