Today, the activities of the two enrichment programs (academic and international) held at King Saud University in cooperation with the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) concluded, in the presence of the university president Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Mismali, the Secretary-General of Mawhiba Foundation Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al-Kuraidis, and an elite group of academics, supervisors, gifted students, and their parents, at Hamad Al-Jasser Hall in the main lobby of the university in Riyadh.

The program's activities extended over weeks of training, application, and scientific research, during which male and female students underwent an integrated knowledge experience combining science, technology, and innovation. It was hosted by the university's colleges, which diversified in providing scientific and literary experiences between local and international programs, offering students a unique opportunity to discover their academic inclinations and open up to multi-cultural scientific and research environments.

The head of the Mawhiba Academic Enrichment Program at the university, Dr. Talal Al-Huzaimi, told SPA that the program focused on developing the knowledge of gifted students and enhancing their scientific skills through specialized enrichment units that combine academic grounding and practical application, contributing to providing them with scientific and practical experiences that enhance their readiness for future university pathways. He explained that the program witnessed the participation of 151 gifted students, who trained in various enrichment units including medical sciences, engineering, data science and artificial intelligence, digital forensic investigation, engineering drawing, and space sciences, under the supervision of an elite group of faculty members, in a stimulating educational environment based on practice and experimentation. He pointed out that the program is part of the partnership between King Saud University and the Mawhiba Foundation, and embodies the university's interest in nurturing gifted individuals and investing their energies, through specialized programs that contribute to developing thinking and creativity skills, and enhance students' readiness for national priority specializations, supporting the march of development and innovation in the Kingdom. Regarding the Mawhiba International Enrichment Program at the university, the Dean of Student Affairs and head of the program, Dr. Ali Al-Dulbihi, affirmed that the program aimed to develop the capabilities of gifted students and enrich their knowledge in promising scientific and technical fields, through an advanced educational experience that combines academic knowledge and practical applications, and contributes to preparing a generation possessing scientific and technical skills, capable of competing and contributing in future fields.

Al-Dulbihi pointed out that the program, in which 149 gifted students participated this year, included a number of enrichment units in the fields of medicine, artificial intelligence, computer science, cybersecurity, investment and economics, mechanical engineering, and space engineering. They received specialized training supervised by an elite group of faculty members at the university, using the latest laboratories and educational equipment. At the conclusion of the ceremony, Mawhiba closes a new chapter of national creativity through its two programs held at King Saud University, to begin another chapter of ambition and excellence, thereby affirming that Saudi talent is the capital of the future and that investing in minds is the noblest path towards a knowledge and innovation society.
