King Saud University, under the patronage of its Acting President Prof. Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Mismaly and in the presence of the Secretary-General of the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Keraidis, concluded the activities of the Academic and International Enrichment Programs, which were implemented in partnership with "Mawhiba" Foundation, during a closing ceremony held in the university's main atrium, attended by a number of university leaders, faculty members, supervisors, parents, and participating students.

The ceremony was the culmination of weeks of intensive training and scientific enrichment, as students embarked on a knowledge journey combining theoretical sciences and practical application in the university's modern laboratories, supervised by an elite group of faculty members and specialists.

The Dean of Student Affairs at King Saud University and Head of the International Mawhiba Enrichment Program, Prof. Dr. Ali Al-Dulbehi, stressed that the university hosted this year more than 600 male and female students within more than 14 enrichment units, implemented in diverse academic environments with the participation of an elite group of faculty members and experts, within an integrated educational system aimed at discovering promising talents and preparing them to contribute to building the nation's future.

Dr. Al-Dulbehi explained in a statement to the Saudi Press Agency that the International Mawhiba Enrichment Program received this year 149 gifted students, who received specialized training in enrichment units covering the fields of medicine, artificial intelligence, computer science, cybersecurity, investment and economics, mechanical engineering, and aerospace engineering, using the latest laboratories and educational equipment under the direct supervision of faculty members.

In contrast, the Head of the Academic Mawhiba Enrichment Program, Dr. Talal Al-Hazimi, stated to the Saudi Press Agency that 151 gifted students participated in the program, receiving training in enrichment units covering medical sciences, engineering, data science and artificial intelligence, digital forensic investigation, engineering drawing, and space sciences, within an educational environment based on experimentation, teamwork, and applied projects.

The closing ceremony included a presentation of the most prominent achievements of the two programs, and a review of the scientific experiments undertaken by the students, along with honoring faculty members, trainers, supervisors, and participating entities in recognition of their efforts in making the programs successful.

At the conclusion of the events, King Saud University and the "Mawhiba" Foundation renewed their commitment to continuing cooperation in nurturing gifted individuals and providing stimulating educational environments that enable them to unleash their creative potential, in support of the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 and to consolidate the Kingdom's position as a hub for talent and innovation.
