Crown Prince and Chinese President Discuss Strategic Relations Between Saudi Arabia and China in Phone Call
His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, made a phone call to His Excellency President Xi Jinping, President of the People's Republic of China.
At the outset of the call, they discussed the strategic relations between the Kingdom and the People's Republic of China, reviewed areas of existing cooperation between the two friendly countries, and explored ways to enhance and develop them in several fields.
The call also addressed the latest developments in the region and their security and economic repercussions at both regional and international levels, as well as efforts to de-escalate and promote security and stability in the region, particularly regarding maritime security and its economic implications, in addition to its impact on vital global supplies. In this context, the Chinese President stressed the importance of keeping the Strait of Hormuz open to navigation in a way that serves the interests of the countries of the region and the international community and promotes lasting stability in the region.
