The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture announced the types, controls, and scope of seasonal fodder cultivation in sedimentary shelf areas, coinciding with the approaching implementation of the ban on perennial fodder cultivation.

The ministry clarified that the types of seasonal fodder include: Egyptian clover (single-cut), Egyptian clover (multi-cut), broadleaf clover, common vetch, oats, Italian ryegrass, and international ryegrass.

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture specified the geographical scope of sedimentary shelf areas, which include the regions of Riyadh, Qassim, Eastern Province, Hail, Tabuk, and Al-Jouf.

The ministry indicated that the ban on perennial fodder cultivation will take effect on November 16, 2026, and that a license is required for cultivating seasonal fodder.
