Waqaa Branch in Tabuk Concludes Its Participation in the Fifth Mango Festival

The National Center for the Prevention and Control of Plant Pests and Animal Diseases (Waqaa) in the Tabuk region concluded its participation in the activities of the Fifth Mango Festival in Umluj Governorate, which was organized by the branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in the region in partnership with the Red Sea Company, with the participation of farmers and many governmental and non-profit entities in the region, at Al-Duqam Park in the governorate, lasting for four days.
The Director General of the Waqaa branch in Tabuk, Engineer Nasser bin Ruway'i Al-Atwi, explained that participation in the festival aims to raise and enhance awareness among farmers and introduce the best modern methods for detecting and treating plant pests, which aims to excel in protecting plants and animals from diseases to contribute to enhancing food security and developing the agricultural sector. Al-Atwi added that the center's participating pavilion highlighted the activities and services provided by the center for the prevention and control of plant pests and animal diseases, in addition to distributing booklets and brochures to visitors.
