Environment / Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve Development Authority Registers Over 11,000 Beehives During Talh and Sidr Seasons
Rafha, Safar 06, 1448 AH, corresponding to July 20, 2026, SPA — The Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve Development Authority has recorded, as of July 9, 2026, the participation of (11,439) beehives in the Talh and Sidr seasons, as part of its efforts to regulate beekeeping activities, preserve vegetation cover, and promote sustainable utilization of natural resources within the reserve. The Authority explained that the number of hives in the Talh season reached (8,050) benefiting (99) beekeepers, while the Sidr season recorded (3,389) hives benefiting (55) beekeepers, reflecting the increasing turnout for the seasons organized by the Authority under controls and procedures that contribute to achieving environmental sustainability. The Authority noted that the participation of one woman in the Talh season exemplifies its commitment to empowering all segments of the local community to benefit from the opportunities provided by the seasons and enhancing their participation in economic activities related to natural resources.
