The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing exempted some commercial activities from paying the financial fee for operating 24 hours, including gas stations, specifically fuel filling services and service centers located outside urban areas, hotels, hotel apartments, resorts, and the like. The exemptions also included pharmacies, medical and educational activities, wedding halls, and rest houses.
The Ministry of Municipalities recently approved the controls for the 24-hour work permit according to the Municipal Licensing Procedures System and its executive regulations, requiring approval from the secretariat and security authorities.
The 24-hour permit allows operation from after 12 midnight until 5 a.m., with exceptions for activity during Ramadan and holidays.
The ministry sets controls for operating workers during specified hours, and the secretariats designate streets and sites for activities to avoid negatively affecting residential neighborhoods. Municipalities also set working hours in line with the labor system, its regulations, and decisions related to women's work.
