General / Baha Region Prince Inaugurates Municipal and Housing Projects Worth Over SAR 1.6 Billion in Presence of Minister of Municipalities and Housing

Baha, Muharram 24, 1448 AH, corresponding to July 9, 2026 AD, SPA - His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Hossam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Baha Region, today at his office in the Emirate, in the presence of the Minister of Municipalities and Housing, Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, inaugurated a number of municipal and housing projects, and laid the foundation stone for new municipal and housing projects exceeding SAR 1.6 billion. His Highness affirmed that these projects reflect the unlimited support from the wise leadership, may God preserve them, for everything that contributes to developing and enhancing development in various regions of the Kingdom, noting the development and progress witnessed by the municipal and housing sector. The Governor of Baha pointed out that several municipal, housing, and investment projects costing over SAR 1.6 billion were inaugurated and foundation stones were laid, stressing that these projects will have a significant impact in keeping pace with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, by enhancing housing programs, improving quality of life, and providing investment opportunities serving the region, which is characterized by attractive investment potentials. The projects included the opening of completed municipal projects worth SAR 464 million, along with laying the foundation stone for new projects worth SAR 873.5 million, which included road, sidewalk, lighting, flood control, gardens, parks, and municipal facility projects; aimed at improving infrastructure and upgrading municipal services in the region. His Highness Prince Dr. Hossam bin Saud also inaugurated completed housing projects worth SAR 185.7 million, including the Talat Al-Mufarrija project, the developmental housing project in Baljurashi Governorate, and the developmental housing project in Qalwah Governorate, while His Highness laid the foundation stone for new housing projects worth SAR 150 million, consisting of real estate development projects under the off-plan sales system in support of efforts to increase housing supply and enable families to own homes. The projects also included the opening of 16 municipal investment projects with total revenues of SAR 284 million, reflecting the growing investment opportunities in the region and its contribution to enhancing economic development and raising the efficiency of investment in municipal assets. Then His Highness handed over 19 housing units to beneficiaries of the developmental housing programs, while viewing a visual presentation of the housing projects being implemented in the region, contributing to achieving the goals of the housing program aimed at increasing homeownership rates and improving quality of life. Afterwards, His Highness witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Baha Region Municipality and the Children with Disabilities Association, contributing to enhancing programs and initiatives aimed at serving people with disabilities and raising the quality of services provided.
