The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah urged pilgrims and visitors to adhere to the correct use of Zamzam water containers inside the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, stressing that these containers are designated for drinking only, and not to be used for ablution or filling bottles.

The ministry explained, in an awareness message published as part of its electronic campaign #Coming_for_Umrah?, that adhering to the guidelines for using Zamzam containers helps maintain the smooth delivery of service and ensures that all guests of the Most Merciful benefit from them, especially in areas witnessing high density of worshipers and pilgrims.

It affirmed that preserving Zamzam facilities and services represents a civilized behavior that reflects the awareness of visitors and pilgrims, and contributes to improving the efficiency of service organization and providing water for everyone with ease.
