Inauguration of the Second Tallest Fountain in the Middle East in Asir
The Wadi Resort in the Asir region witnessed the inauguration of the second tallest fountain in the Middle East, the largest in the Kingdom, and the third globally.
It stands 120 meters high, at a cost exceeding 16 million riyals, pumping more than 7 million liters of water, making it one of the most prominent tourist attractions in the region.
The fountain is part of a tourism project that includes gardens, restaurants, and a heritage village.
The fountain's inauguration is part of an integrated tourism project spanning over 300,000 square meters, featuring various recreational and tourist facilities, including gardens, farms, restaurants, cafés, a theater, and indoor halls, providing a comprehensive experience for visitors and families throughout the year.
The resort houses a heritage village spanning 60,000 square meters, designed to reflect the authenticity and heritage of the Asir region, featuring shops and souks that showcase the area's cultural heritage, along with a comprehensive heritage museum scheduled to open next month, depicting the region's history and heritage in all its components.
The resort offers a daily program of diverse entertainment events, led by dancing fountain shows, theatrical performances, and accompanying activities, held daily from 1:00 PM to midnight, contributing to boosting tourism and enriching the visitor experience during the summer season.
It is noteworthy that the project reflects the role of the private sector as a key partner in supporting national development, through investment in high-quality tourism projects that stimulate economic activity and enhance the status of the Asir region as one of the Kingdom's top tourist destinations, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to develop the tourism sector and improve quality of life.
