Al Wadi Resort in the Asir region witnessed the inauguration of the second tallest fountain in the Middle East, the largest in the Kingdom, and the third globally, with a height of up to 120 meters and a cost exceeding 16 million riyals. The fountain pumps more than 7 million liters of water, making it one of the most prominent tourist attractions in the area.

Project officials explained that the fountain's inauguration is part of an integrated tourist project spanning an area of over 300,000 square meters, featuring various entertainment and tourism facilities, including gardens, farms, restaurants, cafes, a theater, and indoor halls, providing a comprehensive experience for visitors and families throughout the year.

Heritage Village and Cultural Museum

The report indicated that the resort houses a heritage village spanning 60,000 square meters, designed to reflect the authenticity and heritage of the Asir region, and includes traditional shops and souks that express the cultural heritage of the area. A full heritage museum is scheduled to open next month, embodying the region's history and heritage in its various components.

Daily Events and Tourism Revitalization

The organizers added that the resort offers a diverse daily program of entertainment activities, headlined by dancing fountain shows, theatrical performances, and accompanying activities, held daily from 1:00 PM to 12:00 AM midnight. This contributes to revitalizing tourism and enriching visitors' experience during the summer season.

In the same context, the project reflects the role of the private sector as a key partner in supporting national development through investment in high-quality tourism projects, which contributes to stimulating economic activity and enhancing the status of the Asir region as one of the Kingdom's leading tourist destinations, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 in developing the tourism sector and improving quality of life.
