Jazan University has achieved a 'Distinguished' classification from the Saudi Energy Efficiency Center for the second consecutive year, an achievement that reflects the efficiency of its institutional energy management system and its ongoing efforts to improve consumption efficiency and enhance sustainability practices across its university facilities.

This classification confirms the university's efforts in developing its energy management system through programs and initiatives aimed at rationalizing consumption, improving resource efficiency, and applying modern technical solutions that contribute to better operational efficiency and sustainable performance, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. The university explained that it adopts an integrated approach to energy management, based on improving the operational efficiency of buildings and university facilities, applying best operational practices, as well as raising awareness about the importance of rationalizing consumption and promoting a culture of optimal energy use among its staff.

It pointed out that its continued attainment of the 'Distinguished' classification confirms the success of its plans to enhance institutional performance efficiency and develop the energy management system according to national standards, thereby contributing to sustainability, improving service quality, and boosting operational efficiency across various university sectors.
