Jeddah Municipality Intensifies Inspections on Establishments and Markets During Summer 2026
The Municipality of Jeddah Governorate has intensified its field inspection rounds on commercial and food establishments, markets, and shopping centers, coinciding with the increasing tourist activity the city is witnessing during the summer season of 2026, aiming to raise the level of compliance with municipal and health requirements, and enhance the quality of services provided to residents and visitors, supporting Jeddah's status as one of the most prominent tourist destinations in the Kingdom.
The municipality explained that the inspection teams carry out ongoing rounds to verify establishments' compliance with municipal and health requirements, and monitor the level of compliance in establishments related to tourism and entertainment activities, contributing to maintaining product safety, improving the quality of services provided, and raising the level of public safety in locations witnessing high visitor density during the summer vacation.

The inspection work extends to include marine activities and establishments located on waterfronts, by ensuring compliance with municipal and regulatory requirements, and monitoring the readiness of facilities and services associated with receiving visitors, enhancing safety levels, and elevating the quality of services provided at tourist and entertainment sites. Within the framework of developing the municipal inspection system, the Municipality of Jeddah Governorate recently launched the pilot operation of the "Mumtathil" program, which adopts a modern operational model focused on raising the efficiency of field visits, and enhancing compliance with municipal regulations and requirements, contributing to developing inspection quality, improving the establishments' experience, and elevating the level of municipal services.

The municipality affirmed that the inspection rounds are integrated with the field follow-up work carried out by the relevant departments and sub-municipalities, to monitor observations and address them, and strengthen the presence of inspection teams in vital sites, markets, and establishments witnessing increased demand during the season.
